Photography Studio Session in Plymouth, Indiana

Grandparent Portraits are beyond special. A parent’s love for their child is different then a grandparent’s – there’s something incredibly unique about the grandparent bond. I’ve been told, from the first time a grandparent holds the very first grandchild, your heart grows in ways you didn’t know were possible. This happens yet again and again.

This summer, while my own mom and bonus dad were visiting us in Indiana I wanted to bring the all into the studio for some time together. We planned before their visit for grandparent portraits. Since their grandparents live in another state, my kids don’t get a chance to see them as often as we all wish would happen. I wanted to give them something to capture their love for each other when we can’t get together. It was the perfect gift for my parents and also will be something very special for my children in years to come.

We headed to the Always Images studio, in downtown Plymouth, Indiana for their grandparent portrait session. In the studio, we have a client closet for women and children, which made it easy to choose outfits. I dressed my mom in a beautiful gown from our client closet. For the kids, I picked simple dresses for the girls and a dapper suit for my son. It all came together beautifully!

Simple Grandparent Portraits

I wanted to capture the love between each of my children and their grandparents. Individual pictures with each child were part of the overall session. These portraits are my mom’s favorite and she loved them much, I decided to create an album so she can look at them often. My children also wanted their own, so they will each have their own copy to love.

Couple’s Portrait

Since I had my parents all dressed up, I decided to capture my parents as well. How often do you have pictures taken of yourself after your wedding? Or after your family has grown and family pictures don’t happen any longer? If you haven’t had a picture of just the two of you, make that a priority this year! I’d love to photograph you and your special someone in the studio!
